PRAYER INTENTIONS

We pray for our 2nd - 8th grade students as they finish their work on the Iowa Assessment starting today and tomorrow.

Please join us in praying for all Catholics as they enter the holy season of Lent. May their respective Lenten journeys lead them into a closer relationship with our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Please pray for all ICS families. May God strengthen their bond of love and loyalty and draw them closer to Him.

As Pope Francis nears the one year anniversary of becoming the Pontiff of the Catholic Church, let us pray for him and his ministry, leadership and inspiration.

Let us continue to pray for the following intentions:
-Jack Foy
-Mireida Abad
-The Baker Family
-Phil Kinen
-The Doyle Family

Have a prayer intention? Send it to icsmzele@icstampa.org

CELEBRATING SUCCESSES

Congratulations to Laine Martin-Ruiz and Tiana Paxon (and the rest of their team) for finishing in first place in a cheerleading competition over the weekend! Great job, girls! GO IRISH!

Do you know of a current ICS student or ICS graduate who has found success in the areas of academics, athletics, leadership, service or ministry that should be featured in our Newsletter? If so, please send notification to: icsmzele@icstampa.org

HOME

Our quote for this week is in honor of the upcoming Iowa Assessment. ICS students are AMAZING life-long learners! GO IRISH!

Today's quote is by Thomas Merton, a Trappist monk, and reminds us that the most important things in our lives aren't our jobs, or how much money we make, but instead the people we love the most - our family and friends:

Have a great quote about our school's theme, HOME? Send it to: icsmzele@icstampa.org

HALL OF HONORS

Our 2nd class of inductees into the Incarnation Catholic School Hall of Honors will take place on Friday May 2. If you would like to nominate someone for induction, please contact the Main Office for a nomination form. You can also visit our school's webpage: Hall of Honors

Criteria for the Hall of Honors are included here:

Incarnation Catholic School graduates go on to successful high school, college and professional careers. And wherever they work, in whatever discipline they are in, you can find them at the top. This is due in part to the strong academic and spiritual foundation laid at ICS, at the outstanding homes of ICS families and as a result of the exemplar moral character of individual ICS students, faculty, staff, priests and volunteers.
The Incarnation Catholic School Hall of Honors recognizes alumni, faculty and staff, parents, priests, benefactors and friends of the school who made significant contributions to the School, Church, and / or world at large.
Candidates for the Incarnation Catholic School Hall of Honors must be nominated by someone other than the nominee him/herself. The School Advisory Board of Incarnation Catholic School, in consultation with the Pastor and Principal, review nominations and select qualified candidates for the year's class of inductees.
Nominations are due by March 15, 2014.

STATE OF THE 'NATION

The first of our two State of the 'Nation meetings is tonight. Join us in the Church this evening from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. or on Saturday morning from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Childcare will be available. One commitment hour will be awarded for your family's attendance.

Your attendance is both expected and appreciated. Please plan to attend either of the two sessions.

CARNIVAL SET-UP

Saturday March 8 is the first day of Carnival set-up. Your help and support is needed for this Church and School event. The Carnival is the largest fundraiser sponsored by either the Church or the School and requires the efforts of our entire Incarnation community! We hope to see you on the 8th of March!

This effort is open to all school parents. The ICS Dads Club, though, is leading the charge. If you want to be included in ICS Dads Club emails, please contact Dads Club Correspondent, Chris Newcom: chris@bastcorp.com

McDONALD'S SPIRIT NIGHT

Thanks to the many families who attended our last spirit night at McDonald's. The school brought in over $100 for their participation in this event. The 3rd Grade won the Happy Meal lunch - congrats!

In keeping with our tradition, we at Incarnation Catholic School:
Inspire life-long learning,
Challenge each individual to be a disciple of Christ, and
Strive to live our Catholic faith through service to each other and the community.
