FINAL REMINDER - 2017 - 18 Re-registration Information and Tuition Rates
A few important notes:
1. There is roughly a 3% increase from last year to continue to offer the best educational and faith-based programs possible

2. There is no longer a multi-child discount. The cost of educating a student at ICS is $7,200. Our tuition is already significantly below this cost. Reducing the amount we receive for multiple-children in a family makes the gap between our cost of education and our tuition rate even larger. This, in turn, makes it even harder for us to meet our operational goals, and advance as we need to as a school.

3. There are no hidden fees. Your registration fee comes out of your tuition total. This is another reason that we have eliminated the multi-child discount. We do not supplement our tuition revenue  (and trick you into paying more) with these charges.

4. We will offer a tuition credit of up to $250 for each new student you can help recruit to ICS. So, if you can recruit a family with two children to join us at ICS, your family will receive a tuition credit of up to $500 (this will depend upon your tuition owed to ICS after applying scholarship and financial aid monies). This credit will appear in your account in January 2018, lowering your tuition balance for the remainder of the year.

5. Families who do not qualify for diocesan financial aid and/or state scholarships can apply for local financial aid from Incarnation Catholic School and Church. If you have questions about this, contact Mr. Zelenka: icsmzele@icstampa.org

6. Families will be required to participate in fundraising efforts in either the Auction and/or the Payday Sweepstakes Drawing in the amount of $150.

7. Families will also be required to commit 20 hours in service to ICS. Six (6) of those hours must be at the 2018 Incarnation Carnival.

ICS needs your commitment for next year. Amazing things are stirring within our school. Re-register as soon as you can.

4th Annual Irish Cup Championship
Next Thursday and Friday, May 4 and 5, is our 4th Annual Irish Cup Championship. Our four ICS Priories  - Holy Hawks, Holy Owls, Mighty Griffins and Elephants - will compete in the final events of this year-long competition.

As a way to celebrate this community building activity, ICS students and teachers will once again receive Priory t-shirts that this year will feature our 4 mascots. To help offset the costs of these shirts, we are asking for a donation of $5 per student. Please send the money in to the Main Office. Thank you!

Furthermore, so that we can provide the most dynamic and engaging activities possible, any monetary donations of any other amount are welcomed and greatly appreciated! In past years donations for the Irish Cup Championship have allowed us to purchase drones (Jump Sumos and Ollies) and Bounce House obstacles courses as well!

We are Community Members!

We are ICS!

4:30 p.m. Mass on Saturday April 29
For the final time this school year, ICS students will minister to our Church community at the 4:30 p.m. Mass on Saturday April 29. All are welcome and encouraged to attend! We hope to see you there!

ICS students will be serving as lectors, altar servers, gift bearers and music ministers.

As a way to further entice your attendance (because you get Jesus!), students who participate in their ICS uniform will receive both a Free Dress day on Monday May 1, and they will also receive a point for their Priory (see the Race for the Irish Cup above)!

Please consider joining us on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. in the Church!

Attention: Middle School Families
Attention ICS Middle School Parents and Families (and all parents and families so that you can be aware):

There is a show on Netflix that your child has either watched and/or been exposed to given its recent popularity: 13 Reasons Why. Please be sure that you preview this content (and all content) before allowing your child to watch it. Also, please read through these posts for more insights on how to navigate these troubling topics with your child:

If you have any questions, please contact either Mr. Zelenka or Mrs. Riek.

Fidget Spinners
ICS embraces a Dynamic Learning Environment that allows for students to stand, move, and have choice in their seats. Lessons are designed with an understanding of how our brains learn best and our instructional strategies reflect this philosophy. One of the latest trends in our educational world is a "fidget spinner". Intended to help students focus, the "spinner" allows students to move without having to get up out of their seats.

Unfortunately, though, it is more a trend than it is a proven educational tool. Teachers will grant permission for students to use fidget spinners brought to ICS on a case by case basis. If you have any specific questions about this trend please contact either Mr. Zelenka or Mrs. Riek.

For more details, please visit this site: http://wtop.com/life-style/2017/04/kids-parents-in-search-of-fidget-spinners/

Happy Easter!
