2017 - 18 Re-registration Information and Tuition Rates
Information regarding re-registration and tuition rates for next school year will be disseminated on Monday of next week. We appreciate your patience as the rates were finalized and approved.

A few important notes:
1. There is roughly a 3% increase from last year to continue to offer the best educational and faith-based programs possible

2. There is no longer a multi-child discount. The cost of educating a student at ICS is $7,200. Our tuition is already significantly below this cost. Reducing the amount we receive for multiple-children in a family makes the gap between our cost of education and our tuition rate even larger. This, in turn, makes it even harder for us to meet our operational goals, and advance as we need to as a school.

3. There are no hidden fees. Your registration fee comes out of your tuition total. This is another reason that we have eliminated the multi-child discount. We do not supplement our tuition revenue  (and trick you into paying more) with these charges.

4. We will offer a tuition credit of up to $250 for each new student you can help recruit to ICS. So, if you can recruit a family with two children to join us at ICS, your family will receive a tuition credit of up to $500 (this will depend upon your tuition owed to ICS after applying scholarship and financial aid monies). This credit will appear in your account in January 2018, lowering your tuition balance for the remainder of the year.

5. Families who do not qualify for diocesan financial aid and/or state scholarships can apply for local financial aid from Incarnation Catholic School and Church. Details will be disseminated with your tuition information.

6. Families will be required to participate in fundraising efforts in either the Auction and/or the Payday Sweepstakes Drawing in the amount of $150.

7. Families will also be required to commit 20 hours in service to ICS. Six (6) of those hours must be at the 2018 Incarnation Carnival.

Once again, please expect your family's agreement form and detailed information on Monday of next week.

ICS needs your commitment for next year. Re-register as soon as you can.

As per the ICS Student - Family Handbook, each ICS family is required to work at least 4 hours at the Carnival. This can include set-up this weekend; it can also take place during the event (*see below).

Many hands make light work! We hope you will help us with the final preparations for this 4-day celebration of Incarnation!

ICS Athletics
Please see the following news updates concerning the outstanding accomplishments of our ICS student-athletes! GO IRISH!

Three Point Shootout
As a wrap-up to the Boys' Hillsborough Catholic Youth Sports League (HCYSL) Basketball Season, each school sent two contestants to a 3-Point Shooting Contest. ICS representatives were 8th graders Avery Altamirano and Sebastian Sargeant. In addition to representing ICS at this event, both boys entered the championship round!

Avery took home the top prize and Sebastian grabbed second. Congratulations, boys! Great job!

Sportsmanship Award
Incarnation Catholic School also received the HCYSL Sportsmanship Award! This award goes to the school who consistently displays good sportsmanship and outstanding effort. Input from referees, officials and each of the schools is considered in determining the deserving school. Congratulations to all of our coaches, student-athletes and families for making this award a reality!

Truly, it's not whether you win or lose, it's how you play that matters.

Great job, Irish, for playing the right way!

More details about our ICS Athletic Department will can be found on our ICS Athletics Wiki: http://icsathletics.wikispaces.com/ICS+Athletics+Home or by contacting Coach Garofolo: garofolov@icstampa.org.

REMINDER - Iowa Assessment

Today and tomorrow, ICS students in grades 2 - 8 will finish the Iowa Assessment. The Iowa Assessment is a nationwide standardized test aimed at providing feedback as to the overall growth of our students and our school. Scores are compared to the performance of all of the other students who take the same test at the same time. In this way, the test provides teachers, students and families information about the progress of a student.

Please continue to prepare for excellence! Help your students by doing the following:

1. Get a good night's sleep.

2. Eat a good breakfast.
3. Encourage your son/daughter to do his/her best!

Any student who has missed a portion of the test will make it up next week.

If you have any questions about Iowa Assessments, please contact either your child's Homeroom teacher or Mrs. Riek: rieka@icstampa.org or Mr. Zelenka: icsmzele@icstampa.org.

REMINDER - Labels for Education
In addition to collecting Box Tops for Education, ICS is also collecting Labels for Education in an effort to raise funds for our school. For more details, please visit this site: http://www.labelsforeducation.com

Please note this program is ending at the end of the summer (August 1, 2017) so please help ICS to maximize its reward. Send in your Labels for Education to the Front Office.
