Prayers
Please join us in praying for the following:

-that the season of Lent can bring everyone closer to Jesus

-for our 2nd graders preparing for First Holy Communion and for our 8th graders preparing for Confirmation
-for a successful Incarnation Carnival - we pray for a safe event, great weather and lots of fun!
-for Mrs. Moody's first grandson, Thomas Charles Moody, who was born this past Monday!
-for Mrs. Torna and her husband as they continue to prepare for the birth of their first child later this year!

Have a person or intention to add to our prayer list? Send it to icsmzele@icstampa.org

The Power of Positivity
This past week, ICS enhanced its Positive Behavior Intervention Support system by changing to a Reward Menu instead of having weekly drawings. This will allow for greater student autonomy and ownership. In turn, this should increase motivation and improve student behaviors!

As students cash-in their tickets for rewards, we will post their accomplishments here:

-Joey Lozada (K) - Hat Day
-Valentina Parra Hincapie (K) - Hat Day
-Porter Lawrence (1) - Culver's Lunch

Great job, Irish! Keep up the outstanding work!

Carnival Pick-Up 3/6 - 3/24
Starting this upcoming Monday March 6, the ICS Pavilion will not be open for our use during afternoon pick-up due to Carnival construction. As such and regardless of the weather, "Rainy Day" pick-up will be in effect from March 6 - 24. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we thank you in advance for your support.

Family - Teacher Conferences

Family - Teacher Conferences are this afternoon and evening. We thank those of you who have asked for a conference and look forward to dialoguing with you to help support your child(ren). It is our honor to minister to you and your family. If you did not request a conference but would still like to do so, please contact your child(ren)'s teacher(s) via email to schedule a time to meet.

As a way to respect the time of our hard working teachers, drop-ins this afternoon and evening are not permitted.

REMINDER - Iowa Assessment

Next week, from March 6 - 10, ICS students in grades 2 - 8 will participate in the Iowa Assessment. The Iowa Assessment is a nationwide standardized test aimed at providing feedback as to the overall growth of our students and our school. Scores are compared to the performance of all of the other students who take the same test at the same time. In this way, the test provides teachers, students and families information about the progress of a student.

While there is no way to study for this type of test, students and families can prepare in the following ways:

1. Get a good night's sleep.

2. Eat a good breakfast.
3. Start reviewing grade level content taught thus far this school year.
4. Encourage your son/daughter to do his/her best!

Information for students who qualify for accommodations during this week of testing have been sent to families.

If you have any questions about Iowa Assessments, please contact either your child's Homeroom teacher or Mrs. Riek: rieka@icstampa.org or Mr. Zelenka: icsmzele@icstampa.org.

Box Tops for Education
Thank you to all families who submitted Box Tops for Education. Thanks to your generosity, ICS will receive $411 for this round of submission! Thank you, Mrs. Waibel, our ICS Box Tops Coordinator, and thank you to everyone who turned in Box Tops!

REMINDER - Labels for Education

In addition to collecting Box Tops for Education, ICS is also collecting Labels for Education in an effort to raise funds for our school. For more details, please visit this site: http://www.labelsforeducation.com

Please note this program is ending at the end of the summer (August 1, 2017) so please help ICS to maximize its reward. Send in your Labels for Education to the Front Office.
