PRAYER INTENTIONS

Please continue to pray for the Baker family as they mourn the loss of their son, 2013 ICS graduate Ryan. May God grant the family comfort, peace and strength during this difficult time.

Please continue to pray for Mrs. Mireida Abad, Jennifer Lopez's (Grade 7) mother, as she
continues to fight an illness. May God grant her healing and strength.

Please continue to pray for Ms.Virginia Fahy, cousin of Ms. Cummings (Kindergarten teacher). Ms. Fahy is in the hospital battling pneumonia and the flu. May God grant her health and a speedy recovery.

We lift up the Grillo family (Alina, Grade 6) in prayer as they mourn the loss of Alina's maternal grandfather and passing into eternal life. May God offer the family His love and guidance and may Mrs. Grillo's father rest in peace.

Have a prayer intention? Send it to icsmzele@icstampa.org

RYAN BAKER, ICS CLASS OF 2013

As we continue to process the tragic passing of Ryan Baker, please know that the school is continuing to think, pray and reflect upon ways in which we can honor his memory at ICS. Out of respect for the Baker family, this will happen in due time so that Ryan's family can be a part of this decision.

Should you notice your student needs extra care and time in processing the magnitude of Ryan's passing, please be sure to contact Mr. Woodward.

Please note that the $1.00 collected for our 1/28 free dress day will go toward the Cure Sarcoma Foundation. If you feel inspired to donate more, please feel free to do so. All money collected will be donated to this fund in Ryan's name.

CELEBRATING SUCCESSES

Tampa Catholic High School Junior, Armando Mayo (older brother of Malio, grade 5), graduated from ICS in 2011. Armando serves as a Florida delegate to the National Youth Leadership Mission, which is associated with the Anti-Defamation League. Recently, Armando and a group of nine other high school students from the Tampa Bay area were selected to travel to Washington D.C. in November of this year to address the Mission's Executive Board. For more details about this opportunity afforded to Armando as well as information about the NYLM or the ADL, visit this link: http://florida.adl.org/news/adl-youth-leadership-mission-equips-tampa-bay-area-students-to-combat-hatred-and-bigotry/

Do you know of a current ICS student or ICS graduate who has found success in the areas of academics, athletics, leadership, service or ministry that should be featured in our Newsletter? If so, please send notification to: icsmzele@icstampa.org

Also, should you desire for Grandparents to take your child(ren) home prior to the conclusion of the event you need to grant your permission on the RSVP form. Students will not be released early without this advance notice.

HALL OF HONORS

Our 2nd class of inductees into the Incarnation Catholic School Hall of Honors will take place on Friday May 2. If you would like to nominate someone for induction, please contact the Main Office for a nomination form.

ICS Hall of Honors Class of 2013: (left to right) Sr. Eugene Marie, Sr. Emmeline, Coach Slowey and Sr. Michael Patrick.
Criteria for the Hall of Honors are included here:

Incarnation Catholic School graduates go on to successful high school, college and professional careers. And wherever they work, in whatever discipline they are in, you can find them at the top. This is due in part to the strong academic and spiritual foundation laid at ICS, at the outstanding homes of ICS families and as a result of the exemplar moral character of individual ICS students, faculty, staff, priests and volunteers.
The Incarnation Catholic School Hall of Honors recognizes alumni, faculty and staff, parents, priests, benefactors and friends of the school who made significant contributions to the School, Church, and / or world at large.
Candidates for the Incarnation Catholic School Hall of Honors must be nominated by someone other than the nominee him/herself. The School Advisory Board of Incarnation Catholic School, in consultation with the Pastor and Principal, review nominations and select qualified candidates for the year's class of inductees.
Nominations are due by March 15, 2014.

In keeping with our tradition, we at Incarnation Catholic School:
Inspire life-long learning,
Challenge each individual to be a disciple of Christ, and
Strive to live our Catholic faith through service to each other and the community.
