Prayers
We continue to lift up the Allegra family (Rachel, Gr. 8) and her father who underwent surgery last week. May God bring Mr. Allegra health and a full recovery and may He grant peace and strength to the Allegra family.

We pray for Catholics and Christians everywhere as we prepare for the upcoming liturgical season of Lent. May our Lenten journeys, respectively and collectively, bring us closer to Christ!

We pray for students in Grades 2 - 8 as they prepare for next month's Iowa Assessment. May students take full advantage of this opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and skills.

Have a prayer request? Send it to: icsmzele@icstampa.org. Prayers will run for two weeks unless otherwise specified.

Thank You

The faculty, staff and administration want to say THANK YOU to all of the parents and volunteers who showered us with appreciation last week! We THANK YOU, parents and families and we are so proud of partnering with you to teach your children!

ICS Athletics
Boys' Basketball and Girls' Flag Football are in the heart of their respective seasons. For more information about the Irish Athletics Program, especially for a list of the upcoming schedule, please visit Coach Garofolo's Coach's Corner website. Go IRISH!

ICS Family Challenge

At ICS, we honor and value this important role that you as parents / families play in the education of your children. Please know of our prayers, support and hard work to help you in this eternal endeavor!

Conferences

Next Thursday February 12, is our second conference session of the school year. Please consult the form disseminated yesterday (and uploaded to Sycamore) if you would like to request a conference. If you have any questions, please contact either the teacher involved or the Front Office. Request for conferences should be returned by Tuesday February 10.

Inaugural ICS DeMATHlon
Next Thursday February 12, ICS students will engage in our first ever ICS DeMATHlon. The Irish Cup Activity planned for 2/12 will be a school-wide DeMATHlon (i.e. decathlon). The 1/2 day will end with a MATH-ademic Challenge in St. Michael Hall at 11:00 a.m.
A. Strengthen our ICS family through a Household / Priory event.
B. Promote excellence in Math throughout our school community.
Please pray for the success of this endeavor! ICS is committed to providing a quality STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education for all of its students!

Run for Love Shoe Drive
One week remains in our Run for Love Shoe drive in conjunction with the Academy of the Holy Names. This drive "runs" until February 13! Please bring in any shoes you would like to donate by next Friday!

Box Tops for Education

The deadline for the next period of turning in Box Tops is February 26. Thank you for helping ICS earn free money to use on the purchase of supplies. Many household and grocery items have Box Tops (even tissues!). Please take a moment to cut them out and turn them in.

Help Needed

If you are interested in helping the school to sponsor a table at the upcoming Church fundraiser, the St. Valentine's Day Dance, please contact Mr. Zelenka (icsmzele@icstampa.org).

Other upcoming opportunities to serve include: Scrapbooking Day, Grandparents' Day, Carnival, Payday Sweepstakes Raffle. Contact the Front Office for more details.

Altar Server Training

Altar Sever Training  will take place this coming Wednesday, February 11th at 3:30 p.m. after school. All interested, and as well as current, altar servers will meet Mr. Woodward at the picnic tables outside of the middle school wing at 3:30 p.m.

Altar Server training will take place in the Church and will last until 5:00 p.m. Pick up at 5:00 p.m. will take place outside of St. Michael Hall. It is important for both new and returning Altar Servers to attend practice since many small details regarding the way we serve Mass have changed. Coach Garofolo has given all athletic participants permission to attend Altar Serving training for approximately 30 minutes, prior to attending their scheduled practice. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Woodward: woodwardb@icstampa.org.

Grandparents' Day 2015
ICS Grandparents' Day 2015 is Friday February 13. Registering for this event is essential for our planning purposes. A small fee of $5 per person (Grandparents and students) will be charged as we will be catering breakfast that morning.

If you have any questions about Grandparents' Day 2015, please contact the Front Office.

Remember that RSVP's are due by Tuesday February 10. Flyers can be found in the Front Office or in Sycamore.

Seating for breakfast will be organized based on RSVPs. Failure to return the RSVP sheet on time may result in your Grandparent(s) and students having to utilize auxiliary seating for this event. Failure to submit money for grandparent and student breakfasts may result in food not being available - meals will not be available for purchase at the door. Register as soon as possible to insure a spot in St. Michael Hall.

Also, should you desire for Grandparents to take your child(ren) home prior to the conclusion of the event you need to grant your permission on the RSVP form. Students will not be released early without this advance notice.

If you have any questions about Grandparents' Day, please contact the Front Office: 813.884.4502.

Bandages
The Main Office is in need of bandages to help with all of the many scrapes, cuts, bumps and boo-boos that naturally result from children playing. If you can make a donation of extra bandages, it would be most appreciated. Every $25.00 you spend fulfills one commitment hour. If you have questions, please contact the Main Office.

Be blessed. Be bold. Fight for JOY!
