School Closed Friday 9/2/16
Incarnation Catholic School will be closed again tomorrow, Friday September 2. We apologize for any inconvenience. We pray for the safety of all of our ICS families. Our Friday Morning Assembly will be moved to next Friday September 9. Our Spirit Day will also move to next Friday.

*The people of Italy affected by the recent earthquake

*The people of Louisiana affected by the flooding

*Valentina Leal (Grade 7) and her family as they mourn the loss of her grandfather, Alfonso Marquez, who passed away last week from a heart attack 

*Protection of all life and property throughout hurricane season

*An end to violence

The Power of Positivity
ICS students and teachers have laid a solid foundation upon which to build academically and spiritually this year! The energy within classrooms is focused and purposeful. Students have participated excitedly in masses, assemblies and other school-wide events.

Curriculum Nights
Our Middle School Curriculum Night has been rescheduled for next Thursday September 8 in St. Michael Hall. 

*Thursday September 8 at 7:00 p.m. for Grades 6 - 8
-7:00 - 7:30 - General information in St. Michael Hall
-7:30 - 8:15 - Middle School information in St. Michael Hall with ICS Middle School Team Teachers
-8:15 - 8:30 - Grade level meetings in classrooms

Supervision for ICS students will be available. We will also have a work / study space available to help support you in your efforts to have students complete skills practice / homework. Just come to St. Michael Hall.

We hope to see you there!


Personnel Update
We once again welcome the final member of our 2016-17 ICS Faculty and Staff, Mrs. Patty Koch. Mrs. Koch is our new 3rd / 4th Grade Supplemental LA and Math teacher. Please send her a note of welcome: kochp@icstampa.org

David's Little Champions 
Friday September 2nd Basketball 
This event will be held at:
ICS pavilion
From: 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.
Grades: PreK3 - 3rd
Students are encouraged to bring a basketball.
Student pick up will take place at the flag pole in front of the school at 4:30 p.m.

Picture Day
Don't forget that our Picture Day is this upcoming Tuesday September 6. All students should dress in their formal school uniform (even if they have PE on Tuesdays). Set a reminder on your phone, write a note, put the formal school uniform in your kid's backpack - just don't forget! This is especially important because we do not have school on Monday September 5 because of Labor Day!

Havana Nights
Havana Nights, our school's annual Auction Dinner-Dance, is ICS's largest fundraiser of the school year. In order for the event to be a success, all school families must support and/or attend this year's Auction in one or all of the following ways:

Spaghetti Dinner
Our Annual Spaghetti Dinner event will take place on Saturday September 17 from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. in St. Michael Hall. This year this event will occur immediately after the Celebration of the Eucharist at 4:30 p.m. in the Church! ICS students will have the opportunity to minister to our parish community through music, reading and gift bearing! 

If you are interested in getting involved with this event, please contact Ms. Sanchez: sanchezj@icstampa.org.

More details will be on the way! Stay tuned but please plan to attend both Mass and dinner!


ICS Spirit Day
Due to our emergency closures, our first Spirit Day will move to Friday September 9. All students are permitted to wear any ICS shirt with PE shorts, uniform bottoms or jeans and sneakers. Friday Morning Assembly
We will also move our first Friday Morning Assembly scheduled for tomorrow, Friday September 2 to next Friday September 9. This monthly event is open to parents, family members and guests. It begins at 8:30 a.m. in St. Michael Hall. Please enter the doors of St. Michael Hall any time after 8:15 a.m. Our typical format is as follows:

1. Prayer - a bilingual decade of the Rosary
2. Announcements
3. Awards - St. Sebastian Student-Athlete of the Month, Red Ticket drawing, Shamrock Showdown, Incarnation Inspiration Awards, etc.
4. A brief inspirational message

We hope to see you there!


2016-17 ICS Spirit Shirts
The 2016-17 ICS Spirit Shirt design is in! Thanks to the ICS Class of 2017 for the inspiration behind this school-spirit enhancing swag! 



The cost of the shirt will be $15. Order forms will be sent on Tuesday and are due back by Friday September 16 (so that we can hopefully have them back by our next Spirit Day in October)!
