PRAYER INTENTIONS
We pray for peace throughout our world and that leaders and officials may work toward unity instead of division.

Please also pray for all families, especially those struggling from the effects of abuse, divorce, separation or death. May God strengthen these families and each of their respective members.

Have a prayer request? Send it to icsmzele@icstampa.org. Prayer intentions will run for 2 weeks unless otherwise specified.
SPAGHETTI DINNER
Thank you to the over 300 people who were able to attend ICS's Annual Spaghetti Dinner. The event was so well attended that we sold out of all of our food! What an amazing problem to have. We would like to thank Publix, Vigo and Carrabba's for their generous donations of food to help keep the cost of feeding so many people to a minimum. We would also like to thank the many parent and student volunteers who helped to staff the event. Finally, a GIGANTIC thank you goes out to the teacher servers, parent volunteers and student workers!

Before expenses, the total for the night was just over $3,000. After making good on our costs, the school netted over $2,700! Great job and thank you to everyone who attended and help staff the event. This was a significant increase from last year's profit of around $2,000. AMAZING!

Please help provide us feedback on the event by completing this 6 question survey: SPAGHETTI DINNER.
INCARNATION PARISH HOME AND SCHOOL ASSOCIATION
Please visit SignUpGenius to sign up to volunteer for any of the upcoming Home and School Association events. Remember that your involvement in our school family is essential for the success of our great school. Event names will be added soon. Thank you for your patience.

REACH FOR THE STARS AUCTION
Our next Reach for the Stars Auction meeting is next Friday October 4 at 1:30 in Miss Gess's Office, (the classroom across from the Main Office). All are welcome.
PLAYGROUND
We are inching closer to the funds necessary to purchase and install our new playground for primary level children. Anyone willing, interested and able to make a donation for this project should contact the Main Office (813.884.4502) or submit a check to the Main Office (payable to ICS).
FOOD AND FELLOWSHIP

Our recent Food and Fellowship event at the two area Westshore Pizza locations generated over $100.00 for ICS! Thank you to the many families who attended and supported this event. It is appreciated!

The classes with the most participation and winners of a pizza party from Westshore Pizza are: 8A and 1A! Congratulations!
HOME

-Marcus Tullius Cicero

Thanks to Mrs. Peach (Caitlin, Grade 7) for this week's quote on our theme of "HOME". We also really liked how this quote tied into our emphasis on reading, the gateway to knowledge!

Have a great quote that pertains to this year's theme? Send it to icsmzele@icstampa.org.

LEVEL II BACKGROUND SCREENINGS AND SAFE ENVIRONMENT TRAINING

Anyone interested in volunteering during the school day needs both Level II Screening and Safe Environment Training. Level II background screening through the Diocese of St. Petersburg is required for adults to volunteer with our children. Please note that this screening must be done through the diocese. Safe Environment Training is needed in order to have supervisory duties with students. Questions? Contact the Main Office: 813.884.4502.

DRIVING

Thank you to the many families who abide by the parking lot etiquette policies as posted in the Student - Family Handbook. We greatly appreciate your support in keeping your child(ren) and all of our ICS students safe and secure!

COMMITMENT

Please remember that our two biggest fundraisers of the school year are just around the corner. The Payday Sweepstakes Raffle will begin next Friday October 4th and the Reach for the Stars Auction is November 9. Between the two events, families are required to fundraise $150.00 (or $75.00 for single parent families). You can accomplish this by purchasing two tickets to the Auction, buying / selling your 15 raffle tickets, or doing some combination of the two.

Raffle tickets will be sent home today! Be sure to check your family's Thursday envelope for your allotment of tickets for this year. Any family who sells all 15 by next week will be entered into a $200 bonus raffle to kick off the event next Friday! Don't miss out!

CELEBRATING SUCCESSES

Did you know that every year, ICS sends 8th grade graduates to Jesuit, Academy of the Holy Names, Tampa Catholic, Bishop McLaughlin and many of the International Baccalaureate programs in the Tampa Bay area? Furthermore, ICS graduates go on to successful collegiate and professional careers!

Do you know of an ICS alumnus who has found success in the areas of academics, athletics, leadership, service or ministry that should be featured in our Newsletter? If so, please help us to recognize the sons and daughters of Incarnation Catholic School by sending notification to Mr. Zelenka: icsmzele@icstampa.org. GO IRISH!

MISSED MASS

So as to remain consistent in our message, philosophy and mission, we apologize for not taking students to Mass yesterday because of the inclement weather. The decision was made to keep students safe and secure; in no way was it intended to indicate that Mass is unimportant. On the contrary, the Celebration of the Eucharist is the most important school activity all week! Thank you for your patience and understanding.
In keeping with our tradition, we at Incarnation Catholic School:
Inspire life-long learning,
Challenge each individual to be a disciple of Christ, and
Strive to live our Catholic faith through service to each other and the community.
