PRAYER INTENTIONS
We pray for Mrs. Bujak's father who passed away last evening. May God bring comfort and peace to Mrs. Bujak and her family. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

We lift up the Rueda family (Carlos, grade 6). Mrs. Rueda's grandmother, Carlos's great grandmother, is in the hospital. May God's healing hand bring health and a quick recovery.

We also pray for the Dizon family (Antonio and Ashton, grades 7 and 2). Mrs. Dizon's mother, Antonio and Ashton's grandmother, is also in the hospital. We pray for God to health and strength.

Mrs. Varela (mother of Javier, grade 7) was recently in the hospital. Please pray for her recovery and health as well.

Have a prayer intention? Send it to icsmzele@icstampa.org. Prayer requests will run for two weeks unless specified otherwise.

SPAGHETTI DINNER
Reviews from our recent Spaghetti Dinner are overwhelmingly positive! Survey respondents appreciated the meatballs, the service and the chance to interact with teachers. We would still appreciate your feedback. Visit the following link for a short 6 question survey: SPAGHETTI DINNER.
INCARNATION PARISH HOME AND SCHOOL ASSOCIATION
Please visit SignUpGenius to sign up to volunteer for any of the upcoming Home and School Association events. Remember that your involvement in our school family is essential for the success of our great school. Event names will be added soon. PLAYGROUND
We are inching closer to the funds necessary to purchase and install our new playground for primary level children. Anyone willing, interested and able to make a donation for this project should contact the Main Office (813.884.4502) or submit a check to the Main Office (payable to ICS).
FOOD AND FELLOWSHIP

All three Tijuana Flats will give 10% of all business between 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. on 10/23. We hope to see you at any of the three area Tijuana Flats restaurants on the 23rd!
HOME

-Unknown

Thanks to Mrs. Reyes (Tyler, Grade 7) for this week's quote on our theme of "HOME".

Have a great quote that pertains to this year's theme? Send it to icsmzele@icstampa.org.

STARRY, STARRY NIGHT - HSA AUCTION

We have a theme for this year's Reach for the Stars Auction: "Starry, Starry Night"! Our school's biggest fundraiser is Saturday November 9. Tickets are $75.00 each. Remember that between the Payday Sweepstakes Raffle and the Auction, each family is required to raise at least $150 ($75 for single parent families). Auction items include Principal for the Day, Crazy Carnival with the Principal (make Principal Zelenka ride with you on any ride for 1 hour during the Carnival!), sports memorabilia, vacation homes, jewelry, gift baskets and many, many others! Mark your calendars for November 9 and come to ICS's "Starry, Starry Night"!

HSA MEETING

Please come to St. Michael Hall next Wednesday October 9 for our Home and School Meeting at 7:00 p.m. Attendees will have the chance to win a $100 gift card to Sunshine Uniform Company - just in time to stock up on cold weather gear before the cold weather arrives! Families will also receive information about upcoming events and have the opportunity to meet with other parents and families to help plan, coordinate and offer game changing tweaks to our HSA happenings. Childcare for ICS students will be available. Families in attendance will also receive one commitment hour.

PAYDAY SWEEPSTAKES RAFFLE

Please remember that one of our two biggest fundraisers of the school year, our Payday Sweepstakes Raffle, officially begins Friday October 4. Any family who sells / buys all 15 tickets by tomorrow will have their family name entered into a $200 bonus drawing. Then, beginning next week and running until the Auction on November 9, Monday - Thursday winners will receive $100. Friday winners get $250. The Grand Prize, pulled at the Auction, is $1000! Maximize your chances of winning by selling / buying and submitting your tickets as soon as possible!

PHONES, TABLETS AND OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES

Please encourage your child(ren) to keep close tabs on any cellphones, tablets and/or any other electronic devices that they may bring onto the ICS campus. Remember that these items are not permitted to be in use during the day unless for academic purposes and only with the permission of a faculty or staff member. As these devices are extremely expensive, please remind students about appropriate usage and storage. ICS is not responsible for any device that is lost, stolen or broken.

IRISH ATHLETICS

Congratulations to our ICS Irish Soccer and Volleyball teams! Did you know that ICS is the only Catholic school in the Hillsborough Catholic Youth Sports League to offer both Varsity and Junior Varsity teams for both Soccer and Volleyball? Also, did you know that our ICS teams have performed extremely well thus far this year? All teams have notched victories. Varsity Soccer is even in the midst of a two game winning streak as they enter postseason play next week. Volleyball begins postseason play today. GO IRISH!

ATTENDANCE AT IRISH ATHLETIC EVENTS

While we greatly appreciate attendance of students and families at our games, students in attendance must be supervised at all times. The safety of our children is always paramount, not just during the school day. Athletic contests are public events and involve other schools and therefore families outside of the ICS family. As such, the ICS campus does not maintain the same level of security that it enjoys throughout the day. If you plan to attend a game, or if your child would like to support his/her school, please be sure to accompany your child and ensure his/her supervision.

CABINET ADDRESS

During his recent visit to Tallahassee, Principal Zelenka had an opportunity to address Governor Rick Scott and the members of his cabinet. For a view of Mr. Zelenka's speech, visit: http://thefloridachannel.org/video/92413-florida-cabinet-meeting/ and fast forward to the 114 minute mark.

FIRST FRIDAY MORNING ASSEMBLY

Come to St. Michael Hall tomorrow morning at 8:30 for our First Friday Morning Assembly! All are welcome. Just report directly to SMH after 8:20. We hope to see you there.

CELEBRATING SUCCESSES

Did you know that every year, ICS sends 8th grade graduates to Jesuit, Academy of the Holy Names, Tampa Catholic, Bishop McLaughlin and many of the International Baccalaureate programs in the Tampa Bay area? Furthermore, ICS graduates go on to successful collegiate and professional careers!

Do you know of an ICS alumnus who has found success in the areas of academics, athletics, leadership, service or ministry that should be featured in our Newsletter? If so, please help us to recognize the sons and daughters of Incarnation Catholic School by sending notification to Mr. Zelenka: icsmzele@icstampa.org. GO IRISH!

NO SCHOOL THURSDAY OCTOBER 10

Our teachers will take part in a diocesan-wide in-service day on Thursday October 10. Therefore, we will not have school that day.

We DO have school on Friday October 11. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

In keeping with our tradition, we at Incarnation Catholic School:
Inspire life-long learning,
Challenge each individual to be a disciple of Christ, and
Strive to live our Catholic faith through service to each other and the community.
