PRAYER INTENTIONS
We continue to pray for the Clark family (Jacob, grade 1) as they mourn the loss of Jacob's great-grandmother, the grandmother of Jacob's father. May God surround the Clark family and grant them peace, comfort and strength during this difficult time.

We pray for the 8th graders on their day of service at Metropolitan Ministries. May their day be filled with many blessings!

We pray in thanksgiving for an AMAZING first quarter; for our AMAZING ICS family - our students, teachers and parents; and for our AMAZING school!

Have a prayer intention? Send it to icsmzele@icstampa.org. Prayer requests will run for two weeks unless specified otherwise.

REACH FOR THE STARS AUCTION
Tickets for this year's Reach for the Stars Auction "Starry, Starry Night" were sent home last week. Remember that every family is responsible for $150 of fundraising through either the Auction, Payday Sweepstakes Raffle or some combination of both.

As we get closer to the November 9 event, be on the lookout for more detailed information about signing up to volunteer for set-up, event operations and/or clean-up. Help to make our school's largest fundraisers a success.

There are many new and exciting Auction items for this year's Reach for the Stars event! Stay tuned for a teaser list next week and for more details about "Say Yes to the Dress with Miss Gess"!

UNDER THE STARS MOVIE NIGHT

Tomorrow, Friday October 25, ICS will host its Under the Stars Movie Night in the ICS Pavilion. Cost is $10 per family. Concession items will be on sale for $2.00 and $1.00. The form was sent in last week's packet. Feel free, though, to just pay at the door. We hope to see you Under the Stars tomorrow night! Doors will open at 6:30, the movie will begin at 7:00 and concessions will run until 9:00 or until we run out - whichever is first!

Our feature presentation will be Monsters, Inc.!

The weather may be chilly - bring some blankets! Also, if you would like to rent a chair for your viewing pleasure, you can do so for $3.00 each or $10.00 for a family (4 or more). Of course, feel free to bring your most comfortable portable chair from home!

We look forward to seeing you tomorrow night...Under the Stars!

HALLOWEEN CELEBRATION

Students should adhere to the following guidelines for our Halloween Celebration on Thursday October 31.

*Storybook Character Costumes:
-Pre - K to Grade 5

-Any easily identifiable character from literature: Cinderella, Aladdin, Harry Potter, Fancy Nancy, Clifford, etc. No blood, weapons, etc. The purpose of our dress is to promote school spirit, promote a love of reading and have fun. It is not to scare or sicken. Thank you for maintaining this rationale for this celebration.

*Any student not participating in Storybook Character Costume Day should wear their regulation school uniform.

*Crazy Hair Day
-Grades 6 - 8

-Horrible hair -- different size ponytails, braids, curls, spikes, messy, wigs, rubber bands, colors, etc. ALL HAIRDOS MUST BE DONE AT HOME.

-Students in grades 6 - 8 are permitted to wear Spirit Shirts, jeans and sneakers. School uniform is the alternative.

ICS OPEN HOUSE FOR PROSPECTIVE FAMILIES

Please send word to anyone who may be interested in joining the ICS family that we will host an Open House for Prospective Families on Thursday November 14 from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. There are many good and wonderful things happening at ICS. If you are in any way pleased with the education your child(ren) receive, please invite just one family to consider an ICS education.

BILINGUAL MASS

Yesterday our Celebration of the Eucharist was ministered in both English and Spanish. Special thanks to Mrs. Casanas and Mrs. McInerney who worked with our 4th graders to make this experience a reality! Special thanks to Fr. Michael as well for his efforts with incorporating Spanish into the prayers of the Mass. Click here for a video of the Hail Mary in Spanish: Spanish Hail Mary

RED RIBBON WEEK

As a way to culminate our school's focus on Red Ribbon Week, a National campaign to help promote the importance of staying drug-free, students are permitted to wear any appropriate red shirt with jeans, PE shorts, uniform bottoms and sneakers tomorrow, Friday October 25 (8th graders should still dress in PE shirt, jeans and sneakers because of their service trip to Metropolitan Ministries).
