PRAYER INTENTIONS

We pray in thanksgiving for the successful surgery for the cousin of Ms. Cummings, Jerry Heubel. We praise God for His healing and grace!

Please join in prayer to lift up Mrs. Doyle and her family as they mourn the loss of her mother-in-law, Mrs. Audrey Doyle. May God offer comfort, peace and strength to the Doyle family during this difficult time and may God grant Mrs. Doyle and her family traveling mercies as they attend the funeral services.

We also lift up Phil Kinen in prayer (grandfather of Nathan De La Guardia, 2nd Grade) who is recovering from surgery. May God speed his recovery!

Let us continue to pray for the following people:
-Jack Foy
-Mireida Abad
-The Baker Family

Have a prayer intention? Send it to icsmzele@icstampa.org

CELEBRATING SUCCESSES

Do you know of a current ICS student or ICS graduate who has found success in the areas of academics, athletics, leadership, service or ministry that should be featured in our Newsletter? If so, please send notification to: icsmzele@icstampa.org

FOOD AND FELLOWSHIP

Our next Food and Fellowship activity is tonight at McDonald's (7909 W. Hillsborough Ave.) between 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Emery's Art Club will be having their 1st Art Exposition at this event. For every flyer presented, McDonald's will donate 20% of that sale to ICS (dine-in only). The class with the highest sales will have a FREE Happy Meal (PreK - Grade 5) or All-American Meal (Middle School) lunch.

2/24 is our next Chick-fil-A Spirit Night from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. at the W. Waters Ave. location!

HOME

Today's quote comes to us from the musical group Rend Collective Experiment and their song, Praise Like Fireworks.

Have a great quote about our school's theme, HOME? Send it to: icsmzele@icstampa.org

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION

The next submission of Box Tops for education is Thursday February 27. The class with the most Box Tops during this period will receive a free dress day. 4th Grade is still in the lead!

HALL OF HONORS

Our 2nd class of inductees into the Incarnation Catholic School Hall of Honors will take place on Friday May 2. If you would like to nominate someone for induction, please contact the Main Office for a nomination form.

Criteria for the Hall of Honors are included here:

Incarnation Catholic School graduates go on to successful high school, college and professional careers. And wherever they work, in whatever discipline they are in, you can find them at the top. This is due in part to the strong academic and spiritual foundation laid at ICS, at the outstanding homes of ICS families and as a result of the exemplar moral character of individual ICS students, faculty, staff, priests and volunteers.
The Incarnation Catholic School Hall of Honors recognizes alumni, faculty and staff, parents, priests, benefactors and friends of the school who made significant contributions to the School, Church, and / or world at large.
Candidates for the Incarnation Catholic School Hall of Honors must be nominated by someone other than the nominee him/herself. The School Advisory Board of Incarnation Catholic School, in consultation with the Pastor and Principal, review nominations and select qualified candidates for the year's class of inductees.
Nominations are due by March 15, 2014.

STATE OF THE 'NATION

As a way to fully communicate the vision for the future of Incarnation Catholic School, parents and families are invited to one of two State of the 'Nation meetings. Sessions will be held on Thursday March 6 at 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday March 8 at 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. in the Church (come on Saturday and then stay for Carnival set-up, see below). Childcare will be available. One commitment hour will be awarded for your family's attendance.

Topics will include: tuition rates for 2014 - 15, development of an early childhood program, Home and School, and an overview of initiatives currently being developed in support of our Florida Catholic Conference Accreditation.

CARNIVAL SET-UP

Saturday March 8 is the first day of Carnival set-up. Your help and support is needed for this Church and School event. The Carnival is the largest fundraiser sponsored by either the Church or the School and requires the efforts of our entire Incarnation community! We hope to see you on the 8th of March!

This effort is open to all school parents. The ICS Dads Club, though, is leading the charge. If you want to be included in ICS Dads Club emails, please contact Dads Club Correspondent, Chris Newcom: chris@bastcorp.com

CARNIVAL VOLUNTEERS

The Incarnation Carnival is the largest fundraiser held on the Incarnation Campus. As such, its profit goes to benefit the many ministries within the Church, but most specifically the largest ministry which is the school. Your service and attendance at this annual event is imperative to guarantee its success! Please note the following schedule for the 2014 Carnival. Sign-ups for volunteer shifts will be coming soon. Stay tuned!

Thursday April 3: 6:00 - 10:00 p.m.
Friday April 4: 6:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.
Saturday April 5: 2:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.
Sunday April 6: 1:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Mark your calendars and plan to attend, volunteer and enjoy!

SACRED STEPS RUNNING CLUB

So that we can begin to host our 1st graders as members in Sacred Steps Running Club extra volunteers are needed. If you are interested in helping with Sacred Steps and you have completed Level II background screening and Safe Environment Program training, please contact Mr. Zelenka: icsmzele@icstampa.org

You need not be a runner to help; all levels of fitness are welcome. SSRC meets Thursdays from 3:15 - 4:15 p.m.

OPEN HOUSES FOR PROSPECTIVE FAMILIES

Please help spread the good news about Incarnation Catholic School by inviting families and friends that you know to attend one of our two upcoming Open Houses for Prospective Families. Our first event is next Thursday February 27 from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. The second offering is Tuesday March 11 from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. Families should report to St. Michael Hall for both of these events.

Thank you for your help in promoting our school!

In keeping with our tradition, we at Incarnation Catholic School:
Inspire life-long learning,
Challenge each individual to be a disciple of Christ, and
Strive to live our Catholic faith through service to each other and the community.
