Prayers
Please join in praying for the following intentions:

-We continue to pray for all of those who are sick and in need of our prayers, especially members of our school family. May God's healing hand grant them health and may He strengthen the families of those who are ill.

-We pray for peace in Iraq, in Missouri, in our world and in our hearts. May we be agents of Jesus's love in our homes, in our school, and in our community, and in our world.

-We pray in thanksgiving for the gift of Catholic education at Incarnation Catholic School. May the Lord bless all of the giants - teachers, students, families - who over the course of the past 50 years made Catholic education at ICS possible.

Have a prayer request? Send it to: icsmzele@icstampa.org. Prayers will run for two weeks unless otherwise specified.

Thank You
Thank you to teachers, families and students who attended last night's PreK - Grade 5 Curriculum Night. We hope that you found the evening to be informative and that you left feeling both excited about ICS and loved and supported by our teachers. Thank you for partnering with us to educate your children in the Catholic faith. Thank you for choosing ICS.

ICS Athletics

The Irish Athletics fall season got started yesterday afternoon with Volleyball action. While the Varsity girls came up a bit short in winning their season opener, the JV team emerged victorious! Great job, Lady Irish!

For details about our Volleyball and Soccer schedules, please visit Coach Garofolo's Coach's Corner website. The wiki will also provide information for all things related to our Irish Athletics program.

Up next for the Volleyball teams is a game against Villa Madonna today at VMS at 3:45. Good luck!
Go Irish!

The Varsity Soccer team opens its season on September 9 at ICS at 4:00 p.m. The JV soccer team plays their first game next Friday September 12 at ICS at 4:30 p.m. GO Irish!

ICS Middle School Curriculum Night
ICS will host its second of two different Curriculum Nights next Wednesday September 10:

-Wednesday September 10 for Grades 6 - 8

The night will begin at 7:00 p.m. in St. Michael Hall. We will gather for a brief general meeting before heading to classrooms to meet with teachers and discuss grade level specific content and topics. Childcare for ICS students will be available. We hope to see you there. While not a time to have individual conferences with teachers it is an opportunity to ask questions about classroom policies, topics, assignments and other such details.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Office: 813.884.4502.

Moms and Tots
See the information below about an opportunity for moms with children ages 2 - 3 to gather for a group here at ICS. The first event is Thursday September 11. Contact Ms. Rachel Noto for more information or to sign-up: notor@icstampa.org

Households and Family Suppers

Last year, ICS students and teachers joined together in Households for the first time. Students were grouped together in multi-aged "Households" that were headed by one of our ICS faculty members. This year, we will look to build upon this initiative from last year and further enhance the community of our school.

Students will find out more information about their Household this Friday (tomorrow) at First Friday Morning Assembly.

Our first Household event is Thursday September 18 - Family Supper. Please see the order form in next week's packet if you plan to purchase lunch on this Family Supper day. As the entire school eats lunch at the same time, coordination of purchases must take place in order for us to disseminate lunches efficiently and correctly. Again, the form will be sent in next week's Thursday packet.

If you have any questions about Households, please contact the Front Office, or visit Mr. Zelenka's Catholic Education blog: http://icscatholicedu.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
