Thank You
Thank you to the many families who attended last Thursday's Conference Session. Thank you as well to the ICS faculty for their commitment, dedication and professionalism regarding our ICS students. We thank families for their partnership with ICS and we honor our ICS teachers for embracing all of our AMAZING students!

If for some reason you could not attend a conference last week but still desire a meeting with your child(ren)'s teacher(s), please do not hesitate to contact her/him/them directly.

Thank you as well to Mrs. Brown and all of the many parent volunteers who helped with last week's ICS Book Fair! Thank you to all families who visited and purchased books - thanks for instilling a love of reading in your child(ren)! Reading is the gateway to knowledge!

Irish in the News

Congratulations to ICS graduates Eleeza Santos (ICS Class of 2011) and Clarisse Ramos (ICS Class of 2012) who received the Ana Maria Baldor-Bunn Memorial Scholarship from the Academy of the Holy Names this school year! Congratulations, Eleeza and Clarice, Incarnation Catholic School is so proud of you!

Time On Task
Research supports a direct correlation between the amount of time a student spends "on-task" and his/her learning gains. In other words, the more time a student spends actively engaged in academic work, the more that student will learn.

Help ICS faculty ensure the instruction of all ICS students. Please to get your child(ren) to school on time. Please to keep them in school for the entire school day. Coming late and/or leaving early causes a loss in instructional time (and time on task and learning) for your child(ren) and all of the students in those disrupted classrooms.

Instructional time is sacred; help us maintain this atmosphere and ensure learning gains for all ICS students - including your own.

ICS Athletics
Congratulations to all of our ICS fall sports! The Varsity Soccer team remains "undefeated" with only a tie against St. Lawrence keeping the Irish from a perfect record. The JV Soccer and Volleyball teams have found similar successes, while the Varsity Volleyball team continues to give outstanding effort and make continuous improvement. GO Irish!

Varsity Soccer wraps up its regular season this afternoon against and at Mother Teresa of Calcutta at 4:00 p.m.

The JV Soccer team will wrap up its season on October 3 against and at Trinity at 4:30 p.m.

The Varsity and JV Volleyball teams end regular season play today, too: Varsity at 4:00 p.m., with the JV game to follow immediately after. Both games will take place at ICS. Come out to support our Lady Irish!

For details about our Volleyball and Soccer schedules, please visit Coach Garofolo's Coach's Corner website. The wiki will also provide information for all things related to our Irish Athletics program.

ICS Auction
Please mark your calendars and prepare for our school's largest fundraiser, the 2014 Auction. Flyers are in circulation, goods and services are being accumulated and plans are close to being finished for this AMAZING event. Remember that your attendance at the Auction helps to fulfill your Family Fundraising commitment of $150. This year the ICS Payday Sweepstakes Raffle, the other way to fulfill your fundraising obligation, will occur in the spring.

The 17th Annual Dinner, Dance and Auction is Saturday November 8 - Saturday Night Fever! Tickets will be available soon and are $75.00 each! We hope to see you there!
