Prayers
We lift the following intentions up as a School Family:

Mr. Earl Albert, the father of Mrs. Harris (former ICS teacher). May God be with Mr. Albert, Mrs. Harris and their family.

Ms. Kelly Decker, an ICS alum, who is recovering from a second surgery. May God grant a speedy and complete recovery.

Mr. Mario Mora, Gustavo Chaviel's step-father, who continues to undergo chemotherapy. May God offer His healing hand to Mr. Mora.

Families. May God strengthen the bonds of love, patience and loyalty within families everywhere and may the Holy Spirit be with Pope Francis and the gathering of Cardinals and Bishops at the Synod on Families.

Cure for cancer. May God enlighten the minds of those racing toward a cure for this and all incurable diseases.

Have a prayer request? Send it to: icsmzele@icstampa.org. Prayers will run for two weeks unless otherwise specified.

Thank You
Thank you to our AMAZING ICS Faculty and Staff members. ICS is incredibly blessed to have such a dedicated, professional and caring group of educators working with our children. ICS teachers continue to embrace a philosophy of continuous improvement and have worked hard at sharpening and enhancing their practice. ICS staff work tirelessly to help support the education process and the campus life of our ICS students.

Thank you, ICS Faculty and Staff! GO Irish!

Standards Based
ICS teachers have moved toward a standards based grading approach as one of their many professional development initiatives this year. You may have noticed an inclusion of Common Core State Standards on your child(ren)'s tests, quizzes, assignments and rubrics. This emphasis focuses on mastery above completion and helps to ensure your child(ren)'s readiness to move to the next grade level. Feedback is geared toward the skills and understandings of the student as opposed to the traditional grade. For more details about standards based grading systems, check out this short video:

GO: Learn!
