Prayers
We pray for the grandfather of Mrs. Sabella (Jaclyn and Anna, Grades K and 3), Mr. Charles Bell, Jr., who suffered a stroke at the beginning of this week and is not expected to recover. Mr. Bell served in WWII and bravely fought in the Battle of the Bulge and the D-Day invasion as a tank driver and Sergeant with the 87th Armored Field Artillery Battalion. He recently celebrated his 90th birthday. May the Lord of the Resurrection bring comfort, peace and hope to Mrs. Sabella and her family during this trying time.

We pray for the great grandfather of Hailey Richard (Grade 1), Art Duarte, and her family as they mourn his passing into eternal life. May God offer to Hailey's family His everlasting and complete love, peace and comfort during this difficult time.

We continue to lift up the Ostrander family (Ethan and Devon, Grades 7 and 5) as they mourn the passing of Mr. Ostrander's father, Tom Ostrander. We pray for the Ostranders that God would come and fill their hearts with His hope and peace.

We also continue to pray for the Charlery family (Dylainie and Jaylin, Grades 5 and 1) as they grieve the loss of Mr. Charlery's mother, Helena Willie. May God wrap His loving arms around the Charlery family during this difficult time.

We pray in thanksgiving for all of those candidates in our RCIA program who will be initiated into the Catholic Church this Saturday during the Easter Vigil. May God bless them abundantly as they receive His graces through the Sacraments of Initiation!

We also pray for all of our entire ICS family during this most sacred time of Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday and especially Easter Sunday! May the peace, joy and hope of the resurrection bring you and your families into deeper relationship with Jesus!

Have a prayer request? Send it to: icsmzele@icstampa.org. Prayers will run for two weeks unless otherwise specified.

Thank You
Thank you to the families who made the decision to send their students to school today, Holy Thursday, to participate in a day of prayer, service and reflection. Your commitment to Catholic education is admirable. Please know how much we appreciate your partnership in forming your students in the Catholic faith as disciples of Jesus Christ!

Students in attendance today were afforded the opportunity to walk with Jesus during Holy Week, starting with Palm Sunday, joining Jesus and His disciples at the Last Supper, and then journeying with Him through His Passion and death.

Students learned about the historical significance of the palm branches, they grew in understanding about the institution of the Mass during the Last Supper, and had a chance to participate in a dramatic reading of the Passion.

It was a day of blessing. Thank you once again to the families and students in attendance.

Thank you as well to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for His sacrificial love upon the Holy Cross. May we, as your disciples, come closer and closer to imitate fully this complete and beautiful love for others.

ICS Family Challenge

Today's ICS Family Challenge quote comes from St. John Paul II. Continue to give yourselves to your family in sacrificial service and in sacrificial love. When we do this, we mirror God's divine love, and we model the type of love we were meant to share with our children!

Everything we do as adults - parents, teachers, principals - sends a message. Let us pray for the strength of heart to make sure this message is reflective of God's love!

Box Tops for Education
The final collection of the school year ends on May 27. Many common items have Box Tops. Please submit to the Main Office.
