Prayers

We continue to pray for Mrs. Sharon Slowey and her family as they grieve the passing of her granddaughter, Mattison Rose Slowey Thomas. We pray that the Lord of all strength and healing be with ICS's beloved Coach Slowey and her family throughout this tragic situation.

Have a prayer request? Send it to: icsmzele@icstampa.org. Prayers will run for two weeks unless otherwise specified.

Thank You
We honor and thank the parents of our 8th graders, especially those families who are wrapping up double digit year commitments to Incarnation Catholic School. We thank these families for their support and dedication to our school and we honor them for being our pillars! ICS is a place with strong and deep roots built upon long-standing commitments from both families and teachers. Thank you for helping to further establish this strong foundation!

ICS Family Challenge
If you remember, ICS families were issued the following challenge this past school year:

1. Eat together at least once per week
2. Pray together at least once per week
3. Play together at least once per month

Depending on the nature of your family, the commitment outlined above may have provided too much or too little of a challenge. Hopefully, you tweaked it accordingly and that you have seen God bless your investment in the most important people in the world - your family!

The summer is a great opportunity for you to focus on the family - be intentional about finding time for meals, prayer and fun!

May God bless you, your family and our ICS family!

Re-registration
An energizing spirit is rising at ICS. Hopefully you can feel it, see it, and that you and your children have experienced it. We continue to build upon our 51 year tradition and we embrace 21st Century learning and teaching while remaining rooted in strong discipline and extracurricular activities.

Re-register today.

If you have questions about registering, please contact the Front Office: 813.884.4502.

Also, anyone interested in taking a leadership role for Carnival 2016 is invited to attend a planning meeting next Wednesday June 3 at 7:00 p.m. in St. Michael Hall. All are welcome and you can either fulfill commitment hours from this past school year or bank an hour for next year's commitment. Early Childhood at ICS

Please note our ICS Early Learning Program Vision:

ICS ELP is a place that
*delights in being with children and sharing in their joys;

*nurtures a child's ability to wonder, explore and create;

*believes children learn through hands-on play and through meaningful social interactions with both adults and peers;

*provides a student-centered environment that promotes social, emotional, spiritual and moral growth  and development;

*supports parents in their role as primary educators of their child(ren);

*partners with Incarnation Catholic School to foster a sense of community and family among students and faculty.

If you or someone you know may be interested in our ICS 3 or 4 year old programs, please contact Miss Noto, our ICS Early Learning Program Director. Please pray for the success of this new addition to our school!

IOWA Assessment Scores
IOWA Assessment scores from Riverside, the testing company, were sent home last Thursday. Please remember that we have not yet had a chance to run the longitudinal and percentage based reports that we gave out last year. We will have those ready by the end of the school year. We will also generate a form that allows for you to see your child's performance as it relates to the Common Core State Standards.

Please utilize our Iowa Interpretation Video Series (http://incarnationcsca.blogspot.com/2014/06/standardized-testing-video-series.html) to help you interpret these reports.

For an introduction as to what will be covered in the videos, please check out this video:

If you have any questions, please contact your child's teacher, Mr. Woodward, Mrs. Gonzalez or Mr. Zelenka.

Family Supper 5/28
Our final Household event of the 2014 - 15 school year will be Family Supper today Thursday May 28. Part of our focus during Household events this year mirrored what we have asked of ICS families - spend time eating, praying, and playing together and allow the Holy Spirit to organically create bonds between and among the members of this group.

Miscellaneous
1. Please make sure that you have met all requirements and fulfilled all obligations by the end of the school year - commitment hours, after care costs, tuition, lost books, library books, lunch balances, etc.

2. Make note of our used uniform sale on Friday June 5 from 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. in St. Michael Hall.

3. Yearbooks are in and on sale! Cost is $35. Checks should be made payable to Incarnation Catholic School. Signing dates are from June 1 - 5. Don't miss out on this AMAZING piece of ICS history!

Be blessed. Be bold. Fight for JOY!
